Smith Road Complex (Baseball Stadium)
The Smith Road is Newberry College's newest athletic competition facility, hosting baseball, softball and soccer competition fields, while also holding the golf programs' short game facility.
The baseball team moved into its new home in 2008 after two nomadic years as Walker Hall was constructed on the site of the old Kirkland Field. Since moving to the new facility, the scarlet and gray have had one of the top playing fields in all of Division II. Newberry also hosts high school, American Legion and recreational league play on one of the finest surfaces in the Southeast.
The second phase of the project began later and saw the softball team move into its own dedicated facility for the first time in program history in time for the 2013 season.
That was shortly followed by the soccer teams moving to their field in time for the fall 2013 playing season.
